Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Mahall, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Service Description
Mahall is a free mosque management platform that helps mosques manage their members, families, donations, expenses, monthly fees, and other administrative tasks.
User Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Upload harmful, offensive, or misleading content
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization
- Interfere with the platform's operation or security
Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all data you enter into the platform. We do not claim any rights to your mosque data, member records, or financial information. You may request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.
Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will try to provide advance notice of planned downtime.
Limitation of Liability
Mahall is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from use of the platform. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data.
Mutual Aid Funds (Community Savings Circles) — Important Notice
The Mutual Aid Fund feature is a record-keeping tool for private, closed-group, non-commercial savings arrangements among a mosque's own members. It is not a chit fund, prize chit, lottery, deposit-taking scheme, or financial service offered by Mahall Technologies.
- The mosque committee (scheme operator) is solely responsible for legal compliance with the Chit Funds Act 1982, the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act 1978, Kerala state rules, and any applicable registration, tax, and reporting obligations.
- Mahall Technologies and its operators disclaim all liability for member disputes, defaults, regulatory actions, tax obligations, or financial losses arising from the use of this feature.
- Hardcoded product limits (maximum 25 members per scheme, maximum ₹25,000 per member per month, 0% mosque commission) are applied to keep use within typical closed-community arrangements and must not be circumvented.
- Each enrolling member accepts a per-enrollment agreement including a mandatory guarantor. The full agreement text is snapshotted to the record on acceptance and cannot be altered retroactively.
- For schemes with significant pool values, the mosque committee is strongly advised to consult qualified legal counsel licensed in Kerala before commencing operations.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
